This privacy notice is for people who complete the survey which automatically enters them into the prize draw managed by 60 Second Survey.

This Privacy Policy explains how 60 Second Survey collects, uses and shares the personal data you submit in connection with the prize draw, and your rights in relation to personal information.

Please note: “60 Second Survey” "we", "our" and "us" all refer to 60 Second Survey.

As a result of your engagement with us, we will hold your “personal information”, i.e. data in a form that identifies you as individual.

60 Second Survey is the data controller of the information it collects and processes as described in this Notice.  This means that it has the core legal responsibility to safeguard the information and ensure it is processed lawfully.  The law is set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (called “GDPR”) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. In particular, 60 Second Survey must:

How we collect your data

We collect your personal data from the information you provide to us when you enter the prize draw. This may consist of your name and contact details (e.g., email address and mobile number) given to us digitally via our website or if you completed one of our surveys at an airport.

How we use your data

Your data will be used by 60 second Survey for the purposes of managing and administering the prize draw or competition, including notifying you if you are a winner.

Correspondence - if you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

Marketing - 60 Second Survey or its sponsors may use the information collected from you to inform you by letter, phone, SMS, or email about offers, services and news that we think may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive these communications, please let us know by contacting privacy@60secondsurvey.co.uk.

Website improvement - To help us improve your experience, we may collect information about the way you use and access our website. Our web system collects information about each visitor, including IP addresses, time spent on the website and most popular pages visited.

Details of any other uses of your data will be included in the relevant prize draw or competition terms and conditions.

The basis for processing your information

When we use your data in order to manage and administer the prize draw or competition, this processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and 60 Second Survey

(i.e. the contractual arrangements dealing with your participation in the prize draw or competition).

When we use your data for any other purpose, we will set out the basis for this processing in the relevant prize draw or competition terms and conditions.

How long your information is kept

We will keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above and for any audit or legal purposes.

Erasure of Information

We take measures to destroy printed copies of the survey once the information is no longer required. We will use methods such as shredding or incineration. For information stored electronically, we will use technical means to render the information unusable.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that may be placed on your device when you visit our site(s). When you visit our site(s), the cookie remembers information about your visit which can make the site experience better and more useful.

We use both Persistent and session cookies on our website

  • Persistent cookies remain on your device until deleted manually or automatically.
  • Session cookies remain on your device until you close your browser which automatically deletes them.

Cookies used by 60 Second Survey

Analytical Cookies - They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors to our website and to see how visitors move around it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

Functional cookies - these are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalise our content for you and remember your preferences regarding certain areas of the site.

We will always aim to respond clearly and fully to any concerns you have about our processing and requests to exercise the rights set out above.  However, as a data subject if you have concerns about our data processing or consider that we have failed to comply with the data protection legislation then you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
